and is still the home of many artists. Provence has a very distinctive
atmosphere and visitors need time to visit main sites. Avignon is
a charming old walled city. Situated in the middle of a triangle
Gordes - Nimes - Aix en Provence, Avignon is the ideal base to discover
Provence. Distances are not huge ( 40 to 60 kms) but connections
are uneasy. To visit the major sites, the easiest way is to join
one of our regular minibus guided tours or to hire a private tour.
To assist you planing your trip in Provence, we have listed several

Arrival to the charming restaurant in Avignon and registration of
the trainees.
Creation of recipe cards to be performed. Theoretical demonstration
with Practice.
During the Apéritif, various thinkings about the course given
together with how to accomodate the meals with wine.
Lunch with the Chef Jean-Marc LARRUE and informal talk about the course
presented.

pm : Departure to Tavel or Vacqueyras (according to availability of
the winery).
Wine-tasting in a cellar in Tavel, first Rosé wine in France,
or , in Vacqueyras, exceptional soil located at the foot of the majestic
Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux.
Continue to Châteauneuf-du-Pape for wine-tasting in a cellar,
called «the 13 vine-plants country».
In each cellar, you will discover the history of the house and the
guide or the wine owner will offer you a visit of the winery with
explanations about the harvest, the AOC Côtes du Rhônes...

Then, it is time to enjoy an aperitif, then to sit down and enjoy
